Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro Trauma ICU position in a Level I trauma setting requiring prior neuro ICU experience and KS or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a 20-bed Neuro Trauma ICU
• Patient population consists of neuro and trauma cases
• Uses Cerner OneChart EHR system
• Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
• Every other weekend required
• No call responsibilities
• Block scheduling is not accommodated
• Primary responsibility is to provide critical care nursing to patients in the Neuro Trauma ICU
• Scrub color requirement is ceil blue
• Covid vaccination is not required
• Local candidates are accepted but may be subject to a reduced rate
• Candidates can only be considered for one position at Ascension facilities system-wide at a time
• All positions are offered automatically upon successful qualification

Requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of neuro ICU experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA required
• Current NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Completion of CPI Blue Card Nonviolent Crisis Intervention with Advanced Physical Skills or MOAB De-Escalation Course required prior to start
• Completion of on-site CPI/MOAB high-risk training during orientation
• Nursys verification and primary source license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Candidates must possess a valid US Social Security Number and US home address
