Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced CT Technologist with ARRT (CT) certification, BLS (AHA), and hospital-based CT experience for a rotating overnight schedule.

Responsibilities

• Work is primarily in a hospital CT scanning unit with potential assignment to ambulatory mobile units
• Rotating schedule includes weekends 6:00 PM–6:30 AM and weekdays 11:30 AM–12:00 AM (overnights); candidates must have flexibility
• Role involves transporting patients to and from the Emergency Department
• Travelers may float to a sister hospital nearby
• Utilizes PACS and RIS systems for imaging and records management
• Performs computerized tomographic procedures, including preparation, patient education, protocol review, equipment setup, and image acquisition
• Administers IV contrast media and monitors for reactions, including use of power injectors
• Assists radiologist with complex sterile diagnostic procedures such as biopsies
• Demonstrates customer service standards, teamwork, and respect for diversity
• Online modules and competency assessments to be completed onsite prior to start
• No blocked scheduling is permitted
• Scrubs or department dress code required (details provided at assignment)
• Holiday and RTO requests must be disclosed prior to offer; post-offer RTO requires management approval
• May be required to float between closely located facilities within the health system

Requirements

• Active Michigan radiologic technologist license required if applicable
• ARRT (CT) certification and BLS from AHA required
• Minimum of 2 years CT Technologist experience in a hospital setting
• Associate degree in Applied Science in Radiology required
• Peripheral IV insertion experience or willingness to obtain training
• Ability to work independently and in fast-paced environments
• Physical ability to occasionally lift and/or move equipment or patients in excess of 10 lbs
