Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a skilled RN for a Pediatric ICU night shift position requiring recent PICU and Level 1 trauma experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit of a hospital
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week
• Care provided to critically ill pediatric patients in a Level 1 trauma setting
• Responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to pediatric ICU patients with diverse health needs
• Duties include administering medications, monitoring vital signs, assisting with procedures, and coordinating care with physicians and family
• Position involves delegating to support staff and maintaining detailed patient documentation
• Holiday coverage may be required based on hospital policy

Requirements

• Active OK or compact RN license required
• Minimum of one year PICU experience required
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
• BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required
• Must possess good verbal and written communication skills
• Applicants must live more than 50 miles from the facility
