Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro Transplant ICU position requiring recent level 1 neuro ICU experience and night shift availability.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Neuro Transplant ICU within a hospital setting
• Cares for neurological and transplant patient populations with complex needs
• Three 12-hour night shifts per week
• Requires level 1 neuro ICU experience
• No local candidates accepted; must live outside a 50-mile radius
• Provide specialized nursing care to neuro and transplant patients with varying degrees of illness
• Collaborate with physicians on patient assessment, treatment, and minor procedures
• Responsible for documenting patient responses and maintaining accurate medical records
• Administer medications and monitor IV infusions including blood products
• Participate in developing and sharing patient care plans with families
• Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Must have a separation of six months after completing 26 weeks before being eligible for rehire

Requirements

• Active OK or compact state RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Minimum of one year ICU experience, with recent level 1 neuro ICU background
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
• Good communication skills and ability to respond to diverse patient needs
• Basic computer skills required
