Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist with a minimum of 2 years hospital experience and an active DC license for an 8-hour shift assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital setting
• 13-week contract with 8-hour shifts
• Full-time schedule with 40 hours per week
• Assignment requires living at least 25 miles from the facility
• Serve as a member of an interdisciplinary team providing comprehensive evaluation, treatment planning, and occupational therapy services
• Conduct detailed clinical assessments and develop age-appropriate care plans based on physician referral and evaluation findings
• Accurately document patient treatments and respond effectively to changing assignments
• No local candidates within 25 miles will be considered for this assignment

Requirements

• Current, active Occupational Therapist license in DC (no pending licenses allowed; license required if applicable)
• Minimum 2 years of Occupational Therapy experience in a US hospital
• Bachelor’s degree from an AOTA-accredited Occupational Therapy program required; Master’s degree highly desired
• BLS certification (AHA only) required
• CPI certification required
• Effective verbal and written communication skills required
• Social Security Number required for consideration
• References from two managers or supervisors preferred, with at least one from the most recent employer
