Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a Level II Trauma Center, requiring ARRT-CT and BLS certification with experience in trauma imaging.

Responsibilities

• Work in a medical imaging department specializing in CT
• Level II Trauma Center with a heavy trauma caseload including falls, MVAs, GSWs, and stabbings
• Perform scans across inpatient, emergency, and outpatient areas, including higher level scans such as angiograms
• Department uses Siemens CT scanners exclusively, with four scanners available
• Average ED scan volume is 60-70 per day and about 50 outpatient scans daily
• Uses Epic for charting; Epic experience is strongly preferred
• No floating required outside of CT department
• Varied 10-hour shifts, primarily nights, with weekend and holiday rotations
• No call required; overtime is optional
• Two weeks of facility and unit orientation will be provided
• Always staffed with another CT Technologist for 24/7 support
• First-time travelers are accepted
• A 100-mile radius rule applies; local travelers within this radius are not eligible
• Holiday coverage is required per rotation
• Black scrubs or employer-provided scrubs are acceptable
• Free parking is available

Requirements

• ARRT-CT and BLS certifications are required
• Graduation from a Radiology Program qualifying for ARRT(R)(CT) advanced certification
• At least one year of CT experience required
• Experience in a similar high-acuity or trauma facility preferred
• CTA skills are preferred
• Strong team orientation is necessary
• Experience with Siemens CT equipment preferred
