Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position in California requiring a minimum of two years' recent L&D experience and current CA RN license.
Responsibilities
- Position is in an acute care hospital Labor & Delivery unit
- Supports laboring patients including circulating responsibilities in a large hospital setting
- Must be able to circulate for C-sections and L&D cases
- Works 3x12 hour shifts, mostly days (07:00–19:30) and nights (19:00–07:30), with weekends potentially exceeding every other week
- May be required to float between all facilities within the state as needed
- Uses Epic EMR; Epic experience required
- Scrubs are navy blue for RNs; L&D/OR scrubs are provided
- All travelers are expected to float to any facility within the state as needed
- Travel pairs are not accepted for this assignment
- Local candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius to be eligible for the travel rate
- Requested time off must be submitted at the time of application; excessive RTO may hinder selection
- Free parking is available onsite
Requirements
- Active California RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience is required
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
- AWHONN Intermediate required; AWHONN Advanced preferred
- Must have recent circulating experience in L&D
- Experience in large hospital settings highly preferred
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Must provide at least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last three years in Labor & Delivery or a comparable specialty
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
- No first-time travelers considered for this position
- Pending licensure is not accepted
