Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN with California license, circulating experience, and advanced certifications for a large acute care setting.

Responsibilities

Position is based in a Labor & Delivery unit within a large acute care hospital
Works with obstetric patients requiring labor, delivery, and postpartum care
Must be able to circulate for deliveries
Day or night shifts available, typically 3x12 hour schedules
Weekend shifts may be required more frequently than every other weekend to meet unit needs
Travelers must float to all facilities within the state as needed
Epic EMR system is used and experience is required
Scrubs are provided for L&D/OR shifts; navy blue scrubs for other assignments
Travel pairs are not accepted
RTO (requested time off) must be specified at time of application; additional scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be considered
All travelers must be willing to float between affiliated facilities within the state
Returning employees must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live outside a 50-mile radius
Free parking is available
Magnet-designated hospital environment

Requirements

Active CA RN license required
Minimum of 2 years of recent L&D RN experience required
Certification in BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate required; AWHONN Advanced preferred
Must have prior large hospital experience (preferred)
Must be able to circulate in the L&D unit
First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
Epic EMR experience required
References: 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty
Required documents include Social Security card and Driver's License
No pending RN licenses accepted
