Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab RN with at least 2 years of relevant Cath Lab experience and an active NH or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab of a hospital setting
• Shifts are 7:00am to 3:30pm, with on-call requirements
• Patients require complex and critical cardiac care, including emergency cardiac interventions
• Procedures include arterial and venous sheath removal, procedural sedation, and assistance with Flow wire, Opsens, and IVUS
• Utilizes equipment such as Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) and IMPELLA
• Ability to be within a 30-minute radius of the facility when on call
• Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, pre-admission testing, and in-depth medication reviews
• Must demonstrate clinical expertise in maintaining a sterile field and following safety protocols
• Participation in call shifts for both Cath Lab and Stress Lab is required
• Must maintain radiation safety and personal protective attire standards
• Passage of annual procedural sedation exam required
• Team-based environment with flexibility expected to cover staffing needs

Requirements

• Active NH or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab RN experience required
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• PALS certification preferred
• Basic dysrhythmia training preferred or must be obtained prior to completion of orientation
• CPI training preferred or must be obtained within 6 months of hire
• NIHSS certification preferred or must be obtained prior to completion of orientation
• Experience with complex medication infusions and titration management
