Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and current ARRT, RT(R)(CT), BLS, and WA license for a day shift role in a freestanding ED and outpatient environment.

Responsibilities

• Work in a freestanding emergency department with outpatient, primary care, and ED imaging services
• Shift is 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, primarily day shifts
• Call required with a 30-minute response time
• Patient population includes pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Procedures include bread-and-butter scans as well as stroke and cardiac imaging
• X-ray duties include extremity, abdomen/GI, spine/pelvis, head, chest/thorax, musculoskeletal, fluoroscopy studies
• Specialized CT procedures such as brain perfusion, coronary CTA, CT arthrography, myelography, transplant studies, and vascular CTA
• Uses GE equipment and PACS system
• Charting performed in Epic EMR; Epic experience required
• Required to float between all facilities within the state as needed
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Must be comfortable working independently and collaboratively with ED staff
• Role requires flexibility to float within the state as assigned by the facility
• Professional scrubs with no logos must be worn and kept in good condition
• Minimal to no RTO is preferred; time-off requests must be made before contract confirmation and are subject to approval
• Must observe a minimum 3-month separation from any previous direct employer before contract consideration if previously employed in a permanent role
• Former employees must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• COVID and Flu vaccination may be required per facility policy

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a CT Technologist in outpatient or emergency settings
• Current ARRT, RT(R)(CT), and BLS certifications required
• WA state license required if applicable
• Experience with preparation and administration of contrast media and starting peripheral IVs
• Proficiency with abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, and spine/musculoskeletal CT scans, both with and without contrast
• Must be able to independently operate GE scanners and use PACS system
• Must provide at least 2 supervisory references covering one year of employment in a comparable setting
• Experience with Epic EMR required
• Ability to provide SSN and DOB for employment consideration
