Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring 18 months recent specialty experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Patient population includes medical-surgical and telemetry cases
• Rotating day and night shifts of 3x12 hours (7am-7:30pm or 7pm-7:30am); schedule may be variable as needed
• Traveler must be prepared to work at least every other holiday
• Assignments at Cleveland-based locations may not exceed 18 consecutive months
• A minimum 6-month interval is required between assignments at the same health system
• Traveler must successfully complete required assessments during orientation
• First-time travelers are accepted if they meet all experience and credential requirements

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license in hand
• Minimum 18 months recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• At least 18 months permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele specialty prior to travel assignments
• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Must successfully complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
