Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Telephone Triage Call Center position requiring clinic and pediatric experience and an active NC or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Work onsite in a telephone triage call center setting
- Day shift Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- Handles pediatric patients and general clinic populations via telephone interactions
- Average caseload includes managing approximately 90 calls and 170 in-basket messages daily
- No floating to other units
- Orientation provided bi-weekly
- Position is not open to first-time travelers
- Locals within 75 miles are considered at a local rate
- Role involves triaging pediatric and general patient calls, documenting assessments, and managing in-basket messages
- Modules and initial training are completed during orientation and annually thereafter
- Expect a collaborative call center environment focused on patient communication and triage
- RTO requests must be included at submission and are limited to 5-7 days maximum
Requirements
- Active NC or compact RN license in hand
- Minimum of 1 year of recent clinic RN experience
- Recent pediatric nursing experience required
- Ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute
- Current BLS certification required
- One supervisory reference from within the past year required for consideration
- Flu vaccine required with no exemptions or declinations accepted
