Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Telephone Triage Call Center position requiring clinic and pediatric experience and an active NC or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work onsite in a telephone triage call center setting
• Day shift Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• Handles pediatric patients and general clinic populations via telephone interactions
• Average caseload includes managing approximately 90 calls and 170 in-basket messages daily
• No floating to other units
• Orientation provided bi-weekly
• Position is not open to first-time travelers
• Locals within 75 miles are considered at a local rate
• Role involves triaging pediatric and general patient calls, documenting assessments, and managing in-basket messages
• Modules and initial training are completed during orientation and annually thereafter
• Expect a collaborative call center environment focused on patient communication and triage
• RTO requests must be included at submission and are limited to 5-7 days maximum

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license in hand
• Minimum of 1 year of recent clinic RN experience
• Recent pediatric nursing experience required
• Ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute
• Current BLS certification required
• One supervisory reference from within the past year required for consideration
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions or declinations accepted
