Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Cardiovascular Technologist with at least 1 year of adult cath lab experience, RCIS or RCES certification, and previous travel assignment experience.
Responsibilities
- This assignment is in an adult invasive cardiac cath lab setting
- Responsibilities include scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring/recording for diagnostic, interventional, cardiac device, and EP procedures
- Float to departments or locations within a 20-mile radius is required
- 10-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, from 07:00 to 17:30
- Duties include managing adult cardiac catheterization, device implantations, electrophysiology, and structural heart procedures
- Responsible for maintaining accurate documentation, medication handling, charging, and reporting for all daily cases
- Must ensure procedure room preparedness, equipment maintenance, and lab cleanliness in accordance with regulations
- Team-oriented environment with expectations of flexibility and adaptability
- Pass/fail Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia test required during orientation with one retake allowed
- Failure to pass required testing after two attempts will result in termination
- Scrub attire or dress code will follow unit policies
Requirements
- Current RCIS or RCES certification required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum of 1 year adult cath lab diagnostic and interventional procedure experience
- Must have completed at least one prior 13-week travel assignment
- Associate’s degree in Invasive Cardiovascular Technology, Radiology, Respiratory Therapy, Paramedic, or Surgical Technology OR 4 years of relevant experience as a substitute for the degree
- Must be able to work as a contributing team member in a fast-paced environment
- License required if applicable
- Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility; no locals allowed
- Returning employees must wait one year before rehire consideration
