Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neonatal ICU position requiring an OK or compact RN license, BLS, and NRP certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in a hospital setting
• Provide care for neonates with a range of health complexities
• Twelve-hour day shifts from 6:45AM to 7:15PM, three days per week
• No floating or on-call duties specified
• Responsible for an assigned group of neonatal patients, including administering medications, monitoring physiological data, and documenting interventions
• Collaborate with physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Interact with families to communicate care plans and discharge procedures
• Delegation of tasks to support staff as necessary
• No local candidates accepted—must live more than 50 miles from facility
• Returning travelers must observe a 6-month separation after 26 weeks before eligibility for another contract

Requirements

• Active OK RN or compact multistate RN license
• Minimum of one year of NICU nursing experience
• Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Current BLS certification (AHA only)
• Current NRP certification (AHA only)
• Proficiency in professional nursing practices and computer skills
