Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neonatal ICU night shift position requiring an OK or compact RN license and at least one year of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule from 6:45PM to 7:15AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Care involves a range of patient health conditions from simple to complex
• Responsible for an assigned group of neonatal patients
• Delegates tasks to support staff as needed
• Responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring and documenting patient responses, and assisting physicians with minor procedures
• Must interact effectively with neonatal patients’ families and communicate care plans
• Role includes initiating, regulating, and monitoring IV infusions and blood products
• Requires adherence to a 50-mile radius rule; local candidates not accepted

Requirements

• Active Oklahoma or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and NRP certification through the American Heart Association required
• Minimum of one year NICU or relevant nursing experience required
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Strong communication, patient care, and organizational skills required
• Some computer proficiency required
