Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neonatal ICU position requiring a Compact or Oklahoma RN license and BLS/NRP certification.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital-based Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
• Patient population consists of neonates with a range of simple to complex health problems
• Night shift schedule from 6:45PM to 7:15AM, 3 shifts per week (12-hour shifts)
• Assignment length is 13 weeks
• Responsibilities include providing nursing care for NICU patients, administering medications, and monitoring physiological data
• Supports physicians in examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Interacts with families regarding care plans and hospital procedures
• Delegates tasks to support staff and documents patient responses to interventions
• Returning employees may only extend once for a total of 26 weeks before a required 6 month separation

Requirements

• Active Oklahoma or Compact RN license required
• Minimum of one year of NICU experience
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Current BLS and NRP certifications from the American Heart Association required
• Some computer skills and strong communication abilities needed
• 50-mile radius rule in effect; local candidates are not eligible
