Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced CT Technologist with current Washington State certification and ARRT (RT(R))(CT) credentials for a day shift hospital-based position.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital setting in the Diagnostic Imaging department focusing on CT
• Full-time day shift position, Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm
• May be scheduled for on-call standby shifts as needed
• Patient population includes a range of age groups
• CT imaging performed with and without power contrast injections
• Utilizes PACS, HIS/RIS systems for documentation and archiving
• Performs routine and specialized CT procedures in accordance with physician protocols
• Adjusts technical and physical parameters to acquire optimal images
• Documents patient and imaging information accurately in HIS/RIS and PACS
• Administers IV contrast and is proficient in starting IVs
• Participates in mentoring students from affiliated Radiology Technology programs
• Complies with HIPAA and maintains confidentiality of patient information
• Follows organization safety and infection control policies
• Maintains professional appearance and conduct as required by the organization
• Local candidates are accepted and there is no specified radius rule

Requirements

• Washington State Radiologic Technologist Certification required—license required if applicable
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, RT(R)(CT) required
• Completion of a CT modality orientation required
• Minimum of 2 years of hospital experience preferred
• Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS-HCP) within 3 months of hire
• Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 lbs and transport patients and equipment
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
