Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray for a night shift contract, requiring ARRT and BLS certifications and at least 2 years of X-ray OR experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in a hospital setting working with computerized tomography (CT) and X-ray imaging equipment
• Night shifts consisting of five 8-hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Possible on-call duty may be assigned
• Responsibilities include both patient-facing procedures and technical equipment operation
• Duties include setting up and monitoring CT/X-ray equipment, positioning patients, and applying immobilization devices as needed
• Responsible for proper patient identification and collecting allergy and medical history information
• Prepares and injects contrast media intravenously for exams as needed by protocol
• Responsible for digital image capture, storage, transfer, and quality control in compliance with department and regulatory standards
• Assists radiologists and physician specialists in advanced imaging procedures
• Monitors patients for allergic reactions and provides basic emergency response including CPR
• Expected to maintain a clean and safe work environment and assist with department inventory management
• Instructs new staff when assigned and participates in departmental quality improvement initiatives
• Scrub or dress code to follow hospital standards
• Full-time employees of McLaren are not eligible for contract hire within six months of prior employment
• No more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) permitted

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of X-ray OR experience required
• Current ARRT and BLS certifications required
• Experience with computerized tomography scanning procedures necessary
• Traveler experience preferred
• License required if applicable
