Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for night shift hospital coverage, requiring at least 2 years of recent CT and Radiology Tech experience with an active Ohio license, ARRT, and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based imaging department covering CT and a second modality such as X-ray, MRI, or ultrasound
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with every fourth weekend and every other holiday required
• Daily average caseload of approximately 3 patients per hour, subject to change based on staffing
• Clinical environment includes working with ED patients and utilizing GE CT and X-ray equipment
• May be required to perform duties across multiple departments during shifts
• Epic EMR, PACS, and RIS system experience preferred
• On-call duties may be required
• Local candidates accepted with a pay adjustment
• A 50-mile radius rule applies for candidate eligibility
• Must demonstrate competency in two imaging modalities, such as CT and X-ray
• Responsibilities include selecting imaging protocols, operating imaging equipment, performing patient and lab screenings, and administering IV contrast as needed
• Will be required to apply safety and radiation protection principles for patients and staff
• Must complete pass/fail EKG testing on the first day, with study guides provided and two attempts allowed
• May be exposed to periods of high stress, physical demands, infectious materials, and fluctuating workloads
• Teamwork and professional communication within an interdisciplinary team are essential
• Scrub or dress code requirements will be specified by the facility

Requirements

• Active Ohio Radiology License required if applicable
• Certification and registration with ARRT or RDMS or CNMT required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years hospital-based Radiology Tech experience
• Minimum of 2 years CT experience in a hospital setting required
• CT registry highly preferred
• Preferred experience with GE CT and X-ray equipment
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Associate’s degree from an ARRT-accredited institution or approved program preferred
