Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Tech with Kentucky ARRT Radiologic Technologist licensure and current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certification for a high-acuity setting.

Responsibilities

• Position based in a hospital cath lab environment
• Level 1 trauma experience preferred
• Day shifts with four 10-hour shifts per week, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Call requirements include one late call per week (5:30 PM–7:30 PM), one overnight call per week (5:30 PM–7:00 AM), and 1–2 call weekends per 6-week period (Friday 5:30 PM–Monday 7:00 AM)
• Equipment includes Philips Single and Bi-Plane Angiography (preferred)
• Use of Epic EHR and McKesson required
• All requested time off must be disclosed at time of consideration; requests after this will not be approved
• Return permanent staff must have been gone at least 6 months prior to returning as a traveler
• Candidates with a permanent residence within 100 miles are not eligible
• Orientation may require passing additional competency exams
• Call coverage required including nights and weekends
• Certifications must be attached at time of consideration

Requirements

• Current Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) license in KY required before start; pending license acceptable at time of consideration
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required at start
• PALS must be obtained before the start date
• Must pass EKG onboarding exam
• Recent Level 1 trauma or similar high-acuity experience preferred
• Experience with Epic EHR and McKesson required
• Two professional references from supervisors within the last 3 years
• No licensure discrepancies accepted
• License required if applicable
