Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with three years of OR experience and a current NY RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Operating Room of a hospital setting
• Handle a wide range of surgical cases including ortho-total joint and trauma, neuro, GYN/urology, vascular, thoracic, general, and robotic-assisted procedures
• Day shift schedule (4x10 hours), 11:00 to 21:30
• Call is required as part of the role
• Uses Da Vinci Xi Surgical System and other advanced OR equipment
• Epic EMR is preferred
• Responsibilities include supporting a diverse mix of surgical procedures, specimen handling/labeling, and adherence to infection control and safety protocols
• Teal scrubs are required while working on unit
• Minimal requested time off will be considered
• Candidates must live at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Holiday and weekend coverage may be required
• No pending licenses accepted for consideration

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of application
• Minimum of 3 years of operating room RN experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Experience with ortho, trauma, neuro, GYN/urology, vascular, thoracic, and robotic-assisted surgery
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• First-time travelers are not accepted
