Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position in a 12-bed Cardiac Care Unit requiring a MD or compact RN license and at least 2 years of recent CCU/ICU experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a 12-bed Cardiac Care Unit (CCU) of a hospital setting
- Provides care for patients with acute myocardial infarction, cardiogenic shock, post-infarction angina, and congestive heart failure
- Rotating 12-hour shifts with alternating day and night coverage (7A-7P)
- Floating to similar skill set areas as needed
- Deliver critical care nursing to cardiac patients with complex needs
- Must be prepared to provide high acuity care in an intensive team-based environment
- Both local and travel candidates will be considered at the same rate
- Professional attire or unit-required scrubs as directed
Requirements
- Active MD or compact state RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of recent CCU or ICU experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Experience in facilities with at least 500+ bed count required
- Preferred: Critical Care Certification, trauma course, ACLS certification, and Epic EMR experience
