Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical Telemetry night shift position in Washington, DC, requiring a DC RN license and at least two years of recent Med/Surg Tele experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital setting on a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit
• Night shift schedule: three 12-hour shifts per week
• Must work department 6205
• Uses Cerner EMR—experience required
• Assignment length is 13 weeks
• Covers a Med/Surg Tele patient population
• Deliver care to adult Med/Surg Telemetry patients, including initial assessments and ongoing patient evaluations
• Adhere to hospital policies and regulatory standards while providing efficient, compassionate care
• Perform tasks such as documenting admission assessments and implementing age-appropriate care
• Must provide at least two manager or supervisor professional references from the past twelve months for consideration
• Facility requires American Heart Association (AHA) certifications only

Requirements

• Active, unencumbered DC RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele experience in a U.S. hospital required
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• CPI certification mandated
• Must be a graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
• BSN highly preferred
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Must live at least 25 miles from the facility
• U.S. Social Security Number required
