Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 3 years of L&D experience and multiple certifications including BLS, ACLS, NRP, and intermediate fetal monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Labor & Delivery unit caring for patients from 17 weeks gestation through delivery
• Patient population includes women undergoing labor, scheduled procedures such as C-sections and external cephalic versions, and triage cases
• Responsibilities include admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op, and both vaginal and C-section deliveries
• Common equipment used includes fetal monitors; documentation is completed using Cerner and Fetalink
• 12-hour night shifts, three shifts per week
• Floating, call requirements, and specifics about weekend coverage are not indicated
• Daily duties include managing laboring and antepartum patients, assisting with scheduled and emergency procedures, and providing pre- and post-operative care
• Team may include physicians, midwives, and ancillary support
• Cerner and Fetalink experience preferred for documentation
• Scrub and dress code requirements are not specified
• Proof of all certifications required for consideration
• Only AHA certifications are accepted

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license with no pending status
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and CPI
• AWHONN Intermediate electronic fetal monitoring certification required
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required; BSN highly preferred
• Minimum three years of recent L&D nursing experience required
• At least two years of L&D experience in a US hospital setting required
• Must provide two manager or supervisor references, one from the most recent employer
• Must be able to provide a US Social Security Number, valid driver's license, and proof of COVID and flu vaccination
• Must live at least 100 miles from the facility; no local candidates within a 50-mile radius
