Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a dual-modality CT/X-ray Technologist with an active VA license and ARRT certification for overnight shifts.

Responsibilities

• Work in both CT and X-ray in a hospital setting
• Typical shifts are Monday through Thursday, 8:30 PM to 7:00 AM, 10 hours per shift
• Backup on-call required one weekend per month
• Holiday coverage includes one major and one minor holiday
• Common CT studies: head, abdominal, pelvic, angiography, and extremities
• X-ray exams include chest (portable) and routine radiographs
• Volume ranges from 0 to 15 studies per day, with occasional high of 22 exams
• Equipment includes GE CT unit, Philips X-ray units, EPIC EMR, and Fuji/Visage PACS
• Orientation will be provided specific to the floor
• Scrub color requirement is black
• No IV team support—must perform own IV insertions
• Must cover all required hospital areas for CT and X-ray
• On-call response time is 45 minutes

Requirements

• Active VA State Radiologic Technologist license required for consideration
• AHA BLS, ARRT-CT, and ARRT-R certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience preferred in both CT and X-ray modalities
• Strong IV insertion skills are required
• Experience with EPIC EMR and Fuji/Visage PACS preferred
• License required if applicable
