Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool position requiring MS/Tele and ER holding experience, as well as a compact or MD RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital setting floating between Med/Surg, IMC, and ED boarder units
• Care for medical-surgical and cardiac telemetry patients, including emergency department boarders
• Night shift schedule with options for either 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Every third weekend required
• Floating required to MS, MS/Tele, IMC, and ED boarder units
• Primary responsibilities include caring for patients across various units and adapting to diverse patient care needs
• Local candidates within 60 miles are considered at a different rate
• Professional attire or scrubs per hospital dress code
• Candidates with a BSN should include this in their credentials

Requirements

• Active MD or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Two years of recent MS/Tele and cardiac telemetry experience required
• Previous ER holding experience required
• Travel nursing experience required
• Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with at least 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms
• CPI and NIHSS certifications preferred
