Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a multi-shift hospital role serving neonatal through geriatric patients, requiring ARRT and CA licensure.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based CT department with a diverse patient population including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Shifts include evenings (4x10 hours 13:30–21:30) and nights (4x10 hours 0:00–8:00), including weekend coverage
• Duties include performing and coordinating quality CT exams, including CT-guided procedures
• Use and operation of sophisticated CT imaging and ancillary equipment
• Documentation and image management using electronic health record and PACS systems
• Primary responsibilities include performing quality CT studies, protocoling exams, venipuncture, contrast and medication administration, and ensuring accurate documentation
• Periodic floating within scope may be expected
• Team support and effective communication with patients and staff are essential
• Adherence to all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements is mandatory
• 50 mile radius rule applies for candidate eligibility
• Returning staff must have not worked at the facility in the past year to be eligible as a traveler
• Only one holiday requested off (RTO) will be approved
• Candidates must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of offer acceptance

Requirements

• Active CA Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license required if applicable
• ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) credentials required
• IV Certification and BLS required upon hire
• Radiology Fluoroscopy permit (RHF) required within 180 days of hire
• Graduation from a Joint Commission approved School of Radiologic Technology or equivalent
• Associate’s degree in Radiologic Sciences or related field
• Minimum of 2 years of CT experience required
• Proficiency in cross-sectional anatomy and technical CT imaging factors
• Skilled in venipuncture and safe contrast media administration
