Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist with RCIS or ARRT certification, BLS, and ACLS for a 13-week contract covering cardiac and peripheral procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Position is based in a cardiac cath lab with 4 procedure rooms
  • Covers a variety of procedures including coronary angios/PCIs, CTOs, peripherals, EPS with possible ablations, pacemakers, BIVs, TAVRs, Mitraclips, Watchman/Amulet, and mitral valves
  • Typical daily caseload ranges from 25-30 cases
  • Day shift schedule is 4x10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
  • Includes 2-3 call shifts per week and 1-2 call weekends within a 6-week period
  • Scrubs are provided
  • Responsibilities include participation in coronary and peripheral interventions, electrophysiology studies, pacemaker and device placement, and advanced cardiac procedures such as TAVR and Mitraclip
  • Opportunity to perform or assist with specialized procedures like ablations, septal closure, pacemaker/defib device placement, and Watchman procedures
  • Facility is smoke and nicotine free
  • Time off (RTO) must be requested at submission; no additional RTO will be considered after offer
  • First-time travelers will be considered
  • License required if applicable

Requirements

  • Must have current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Certification required: either RCIS or ARRT; if ARRT, a state license is mandatory and the VA temporary process is accepted
  • Demonstrated experience in LHC, LHC PCI, RHC, peripherals, IMPELLA, balloon pump, and Rotablader procedures
  • Skilled in scrubbing, monitoring, and EKG, including obtaining vitals, conducting 12-lead EKGs, and rhythm interpretation
  • Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures such as balloon angioplasty, PCI, stents, thrombectomy, impella insertion, left and right heart catheterization, and EP procedures such as cardioversion
  • Experience with Epic EMR is preferred
  • Flu vaccine required during flu season (Oct 1st - Mar 31st)
  • COVID vaccination required or qualified exemption
