Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist experienced with GE equipment and ARRT certification to deliver quality imaging in a dynamic medical setting.
Responsibilities
- Work in inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room settings
- Fast-paced ED environment with independent work required
- Operate GE CT equipment
- 10-hour night shifts, Monday through Thursday, from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
- Rotating call schedule: one week every 5-6 weeks, including weekdays and 24-hour weekend coverage
- Performs CT imaging exams, intravenous contrast injections, and general radiographic procedures following safety guidelines
- Responsible for preparing and cleaning equipment and scanning areas, and transporting patients as needed
- Completes clerical tasks and maintains accurate patient care documentation
- Performs and logs equipment maintenance and follows departmental quality assurance protocols
- Educates patients and families about procedures
- May be asked to assist in developing procedural techniques and training new staff
- Regular attendance at staff meetings and departmental in-services is expected
- Expected to adhere to ethical, collaborative, and team-based care standards
- Not open to local candidates within a 50-mile radius
- Onboarding includes pass/fail EKG test on first day with study guides provided
Requirements
- Valid ARRT(R) certification and BLS required
- VA Radiology License required if applicable
- Minimum 1 year of CT experience required; 2 years preferred
- Experience with GE CT equipment required
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Sciences or related field
- Must live more than 50 miles from the facility
