Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Critical Care ICU night shift position requiring a WA or compact RN license and advanced certifications.
Responsibilities
- Position is in a hospital Critical Care Unit (ICU/CCU) setting
- Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
- 13-week assignment
- Provide individualized critical care nursing based on scientific principles
- Consult and coordinate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and evaluate patient care plans
- Administer medications and document all care in accordance with clinical policy
- Perform and interpret diagnostic testing and lab work
- Monitor patients using specialized ICU equipment including cardiac monitors, ventilators, and hemodynamic devices
- Educate patients and families on post-treatment care, medications, and lifestyle needs
- Respond to life-saving situations using nursing standards and protocols
- No COVID-19 vaccine requirement specified
- No radius rule for local candidates
Requirements
- Active WA or compact RN license required
- Valid BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Minimum 3 years of recent critical care experience in a hospital setting
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- For compact license holders, suicide training verification and demographic data verification via Nursys e-Notify required
