Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Critical Care ICU night shift position requiring a WA or compact RN license and advanced certifications.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital Critical Care Unit (ICU/CCU) setting
• Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
• 13-week assignment
• Provide individualized critical care nursing based on scientific principles
• Consult and coordinate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and evaluate patient care plans
• Administer medications and document all care in accordance with clinical policy
• Perform and interpret diagnostic testing and lab work
• Monitor patients using specialized ICU equipment including cardiac monitors, ventilators, and hemodynamic devices
• Educate patients and families on post-treatment care, medications, and lifestyle needs
• Respond to life-saving situations using nursing standards and protocols
• No COVID-19 vaccine requirement specified
• No radius rule for local candidates

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required
• Valid BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum 3 years of recent critical care experience in a hospital setting
• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
• For compact license holders, suicide training verification and demographic data verification via Nursys e-Notify required
