Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 1-2 years of experience and Epic charting proficiency for a 13-week contract.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital nuclear medicine department
- Schedule is 4x10 day shifts, typically 0630-1700 or 0815-1845
- On-call shifts after department hours, averaging about 7 days per month
- Potential to float to a nearby sister hospital
- Epic EMR use is required
- Performs nuclear medicine procedures in compliance with hospital policies
- Orientation provided for workflow and equipment as needed
- Strict RTO policy; time off requests must be submitted up front
- First-time travelers are permitted
- Return staff must be gone 6 months before returning as a traveler
- No mile radius restrictions; local candidates accepted at the same rate
Requirements
- Current OR license is required if applicable
- 1-2 years of experience in nuclear medicine technology required
- Registration with NMTCB or ARRT (Nuclear Medicine) within 6 months of hire
- BLS from AHA required within 90 days of hire
- ACLS required within 6 months of hire
- Ability to operate nuclear medicine gamma cameras, probe and computer systems, film processors, and survey meters
- Must pass a Basic Cardiac Monitoring class within 4 months of hire
- COVID vaccination required with no exemptions
- Epic charting experience required
