Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Telemetry RN with nephrology experience and current MO or compact license for a night shift assignment.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in the Telemetry unit of an acute care hospital with nephrology-focused telemetry care
• Patient ratio is 1:5-6
• Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts, 19:00–7:30
• Every other weekend required; weekend nights may include Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday
• Peritoneal dialysis experience required
• Floating within scope may be required to meet facility needs
• EPIC charting is used and experience with EPIC may be required for some units
• No on-call requirement
• Travelers must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
• Must wear navy scrubs as part of the dress code
• No RTO allowed during the first week of orientation and maximum 7 days off during each 13-week contract
• No local candidates accepted; must live more than 75 miles away
• Must follow holiday and weekend rotation according to unit needs
• Free parking is available onsite
• Modules and required orientation will be provided prior to start

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required; pending licenses accepted for consideration
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIH) certifications required
• 1-2 years of recent telemetry RN experience preferred
• Experience with peritoneal dialysis required
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers are accepted
