Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric ICU RN with at least 2 years of PICU experience for day or night shifts with weekend requirements and a valid MA RN license.
Responsibilities
- Work in a Pediatric Medical ICU setting within an acute care hospital
- Patient population includes critically ill pediatric patients in a Level III/IV NICU and Level I trauma environment
- Role involves ventilator management and inotropy for pediatric patients
- Available shifts are straight days or straight nights (3x12 hours, 7:00–19:00 or 19:00–7:00)
- Every other weekend required, with a larger weekend commitment for certain shift types
- No on-call required
- Floating required within scope to CICU, MSICU, or NICU units
- Uses Epic for charting
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Work in a Magnet-designated hospital with a strong multidisciplinary team
- Scrubs must be any solid color except in the OR, where they are provided
- Parking is free for night shift staff and discounted for other shifts with shuttle service for off-site lots
- Holiday coverage aligned with department rotation
- Local candidates within 50 miles are accepted at a different pay rate
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years recent Pediatric ICU experience, including ventilator management and inotropic support
- Current BLS and PALS certifications required
- Travel nursing experience required
- Experience in acute care or trauma Level I hospital preferred
