Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift position, requiring a Maryland or compact RN license and at least 2 years of recent experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit with a Level II NICU
• Patient population includes antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients
• Ratios are 1:4 for triage and postpartum, 1:2 for early labor/induction, and 1:1 for active labor and C-section care
• Unit has 14 LDRP rooms, 9 overflow beds, 2 triage beds, 2 antenatal testing bays, 2 ORs, 2 PACU bays, and a 9-bed Special Care Nursery
• Night shift schedule: three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00–07:30)
• Every other weekend and scheduled holidays required
• May float within Labor & Delivery specialty and to sister units as needed
• No on-call requirements
• Responsibilities include caring for patients through all stages of labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, and C-section procedures
• LDRP unit provides comprehensive maternity care including antenatal testing, high-risk obstetrics, and post-partum pre-eclampsia management
• Navy blue scrubs required for this unit
• No on-call obligations for this position

Requirements

• Active Maryland or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• ACLS, STABLE, FHM, and AWHONN certifications preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience required
