Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring at least two years of recent MS/Tele experience and active IN or compact licensure.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital setting on a Med/Surg Telemetry (MS/Tele) unit
• Position is for the 2E overflow unit with possible charge nurse coverage pending operational needs
• Shifts may be 3x12 or 4x12, with days from 7:00 to 19:30
• Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals
• EMR system used is Cerner and experience is required
• Charge nurse responsibilities may be required with proper training
• Must be willing to work at least 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Up to 5 days of requested time off will be auto-approved
• First-time travelers are allowed to apply for this role

Requirements

• Active IN or compact RN license or valid temporary license in hand at the start of the assignment
• Minimum of 2 years of recent MS/Tele experience required
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications (AHA and RQI accepted)
• Degree must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Not accepting local candidates for this position
• Former permanent or PRN employees must be separated from IU Health for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler
