Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric CVICU position requiring IN or compact licensure and expertise in pediatric cardiac care.
Details
- Work in a new, specialized 8-bed Pediatric CVICU connected to a 14-bed PICU
- Care for pediatric cardiac patients both pre- and post-operation in a hospital ICU setting
- Collaboration with surgical and intensivist teams
- Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
- 36 hours per week with every other weekend, holiday, and on-call requirements
- May float to PICU, Pediatric, and NICU units
Requirements
- Active IN or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of recent pediatric CVICU experience
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS (all AHA), NRP and NRP Advanced (AHA/AAP), NIH Stroke Scale
- Nursys verification and primary source license verification within 30 days prior to start
- Current US Social Security Number and valid US address required
Additional Information
- Primary responsibilities include caring for pediatric cardiac ICU patients, including pre- and post-surgical care
- Flexibility in scheduling is needed to accommodate surgical case flow
- Position requires willingness to be on-call as scheduled
- May be required to float to additional critical care pediatric units based on facility needs
- Travelers are subject to facility radius rules, and local candidates may be eligible at a reduced rate
- Holiday and weekend coverage is required as assigned
- First-time travelers are accepted
