Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Pediatrics position requiring an IA or compact license and strong pediatric experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Pediatrics unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3
• Night shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM, with option for rotating days and nights
• Travelers may be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses
• On-call coverage required during scheduled shifts as needed
• Epic EMR is used in the unit
• Pediatric patient population, including cases using Vapotherm
• Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide and manage pediatric patient care
• Orientation provided weekly on Mondays with 16 hours of NBO
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
• Holiday coverage may be required, with specific coverage expectations for major holidays

Requirements

• Active IA or compact RN license in hand
• Minimum 2 years of recent Pediatrics RN experience
• Completion of at least 1 prior travel contract required
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications (AHA or ARC)
• Experience with Vapotherm required
• Comfortable floating to general Med Surg as needed
• Driver’s License required
• Must live more than 60 miles from the facility
