Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU/Stepdown position in Michigan requiring an active MI RN license and ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital ICU and Intermediate Intensive Care (Stepdown) setting
• Cares for critically ill patients from adolescent to geriatric populations
• Handles a wide variety of cases including medical, surgical, cardiac, and neurosurgical patients
• Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM with 12-hour shifts
• Required to work every other weekend
• Frequent floating to Stepdown unit
• Responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering nursing care to ICU and Stepdown patients
• Supervises CNA/SNA, LPN, or other healthcare team members as assigned
• Expected to maintain professional nursing standards in all care provided
• Up to 5 days of requested time off will be considered
• No on-call responsibilities
• Physical copies of certifications may be required

Requirements

• Active Michigan RN license required at the time of consideration
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS required
• Minimum of 2 years ICU experience required
• Completion of a skills checklist within one year of application for ICU RN
• Must not be a full-time McLaren employee within the past six months
