Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist with 3+ years of MRI experience and ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification for weekend day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Work in a tertiary care setting with 283 staffed beds
• MRI Tech position with schedule of 3x12s: Friday 10:00 AM–10:00 PM, Saturday and Sunday 9:00 AM–9:00 PM
• Weekend shifts are required, with some on-call responsibility
• Patient care involves MRI imaging using Philips ingenuity equipment
• No floating required to other units or sister facilities
• Uses Epic as the EMR system; prior Epic experience is a plus
• Responsibilities include performing MRI scans and ensuring patient safety during procedures
• Black or teal scrubs required
• Modules must be completed prior to start
• Free parking available
• Must not have been a permanent or PRN staff member at the facility within the past year
• RTO must be included at the time of submission; extended or holiday RTO may delay approval
• Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June–November)
• Acceptance of first-time travelers is possible depending on experience

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of MRI technologist experience required
• Current BLS certification required (AHA only)
• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required
• Experience operating Philips ingenuity MRI equipment required
• License required if applicable
• Must live at least 60 miles from the facility (no locals accepted)
• Must provide Social Security Number and valid Driver's License for consideration
