Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical unit position requiring telemetry skills and an AZ or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Medical Surgical unit within a hospital setting
• Care for adult med/surg patients with a 1:5-6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Potential for remote telemetry monitoring on the unit
• Day shifts (3x12 hrs), 7:00 to 19:30
• Required to work every other weekend
• Floating to other Med/Surg units may be required
• Uses Meditech charting; experience preferred but not required
• Orientation is offered every Monday
• First time travelers and local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• Must provide a copy of driver’s license and Social Security card for consideration

Requirements

• Active AZ or compact RN license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum 1 year of med/surg nursing experience
• Experience with telemetry required
• Two professional references needed for consideration
