Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab/IR Technologist with Cath Lab or interventional radiology experience, BLS and ACLS certifications, and ARRT or RCIS credentials.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care hospital with Level II trauma designation
• Assigned to the Cath Lab with occasional interventional radiology cases for qualified candidates
• Caseload ranges from 8 to 12 cases per shift
• Day shift schedule of four 10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Weekend call required one full weekend per month
• On-call required approximately 7-10 days per month with a 30-minute STEMI response time and guaranteed 2-hour call back
• No floating to other units required
• Uses Cerner and McKesson charting systems
• Scrubs are provided
• Duties include assisting with cardiac catheterizations and interventional radiology procedures as assigned
• STEMI call team must respond within 30 minutes of activation
• Parking provided in designated garage at no cost
• Block scheduling is not available
• License required if applicable

Requirements

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• ARRT certification and Maryland state license, or RCIS
• Experience in Cath Lab and/or interventional radiology required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Must provide a copy of driver’s license and Social Security card
• No use of nicotine products; candidates will be tested and must pass nicotine screening
