Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of recent CT experience in a large facility and advanced scanner competency.

Responsibilities

• Position based in a CT Scan unit within a large acute care setting
• 10-hour day shifts with every other weekend rotation
• Handles a census of approximately 100 scans per day, covering cardiac, trauma, abdominal, pediatric, geriatric, and complex exams
• Expected to operate advanced scanners including GE Revolution EVO, GE LightSpeed, Siemens SOMATOM Force, Drive, Definition AS, and Definition Edge
• Performs multi-phase imaging and organ-specific CT studies including liver, pancreas, adrenals, IVP, and gated cardiac imaging
• Uses Meditech EMR and Pyxis medication dispensing system
• No floating to other units required
• Collaborate with a team lead, manager, and radiologist for support on the unit
• 3–4 shifts of precepted orientation plus NEO provided
• Holiday coverage is within rotation based on unit needs
• Scrubs are provided in procedural areas; no preference elsewhere
• Parking available in the designated employee lot
• First-time travelers may be considered if they have experience in similarly large institutions

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CT experience in facilities larger than critical access hospitals
• Current BLS and ARRT-CT certification
• State license required if applicable
• Demonstrated recent experience on advanced GE and Siemens CT scanners
• Proficiency with multi-phase imaging, organ-specific studies, and gated cardiac imaging
• IVP and interventional radiology (scanner management for biopsies, abscess drainage, ablation) competence
• Experience with adult, pediatric, and geriatric imaging populations
