Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN with at least 2 years of experience, MO or compact RN license, and current ACLS/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab of an acute care hospital
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week
• On-call required one day per week and every 3rd to 4th weekend
• No floating required
• EMR system is Epic; Epic charting experience required
• Patient population includes cardiac patients requiring cath lab procedures
• Handle cardiac catheterization procedures and related critical care nursing duties
• Must wear navy scrubs while on duty
• No restrictions on requested time off, except limited to 7 days per 13-week contract and not allowed during the first week of orientation
• Travelers are eligible to stay for up to 18 months with a required 3-month break after this period
• Completion of training modules required before start
• Parking is provided at no cost

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of cath lab experience and critical care required
• Current certifications in ACLS and BLS required
• Experience with Epic EMR required
• No local candidates within a 75-mile radius accepted
• Pending RN license may be accepted
• First time travelers accepted
• Permanent employees must wait one year before returning as a traveler
