Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatrics Float Pool position requiring an active OK or compact RN license and PALS certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Pediatrics Float Pool within a hospital setting
• Pediatric patient population with a range of health problems from simple to complex
• Three 12-hour day shifts per week, totaling 36 hours per week
• Weekend and holiday shifts are required
• Floating as assigned within pediatric units
• Responsibilities include providing nursing care, documenting interventions, assisting with minor procedures, monitoring physiological data, and administering medications
• Day-to-day duties involve patient care coordination, family and patient education, and delegating tasks to support staff
• Pediatric Float Pool team structure offers diverse clinical experience
• No local candidates accepted (must live outside a 50-mile radius)
• Candidates are expected to participate in care planning and discharge processes

Requirements

• Active RN license from Oklahoma or a compact state (eNLC) required
• Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required
• Minimum of one year of RN experience
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Demonstrated ability to organize, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Some computer skills required
