Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatrics Float Pool position, requiring an active OK or compact RN license and strong pediatric care skills.
Details
- Position is based in a hospital Pediatrics Float Pool environment
- Care is provided to a variety of pediatric patients with a range of health needs
- Day shifts with weekend and holiday requirements
- 12-hour shifts, three days per week
- Floating among pediatric units as assigned
Requirements
- Active RN license in Oklahoma or a compact state (eNLC)
- Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications
- Minimum of 1 year of recent nursing experience
- Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
- Good communication, organizational, and computer skills
- Ability to respond to diverse cultural and language needs of pediatric patients and their families
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
Additional Information
- RN will assume responsibility for an assigned group of pediatric patients
- Duties include documenting patient responses, assisting with examinations and minor procedures, administering prescribed medications, and monitoring physiological data
- Collaborates with family members to communicate care plans and discharge instructions
- Delegates appropriate tasks to support staff as needed
- Holiday and weekend coverage is expected
