Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for a home health position in downtown San Francisco, requiring at least 1 year of home health and OASIS experience and an active CA license.
Responsibilities
- Home health setting serving patients in a metropolitan territory
- Majority of work in downtown San Francisco with daily home visits
- Typical caseload of 5-6 patients per day with cases focused on gait, strength, and range of motion
- Work schedule options include 4x10-hour or 5x8-hour day shifts starting at 8:00 AM
- No on-call required
- Charting is completed using Kinnser/Wellsky EMR
- Mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate or Uber rides covered if preferred
- You will provide therapy to a patient population that may include individuals with substance or alcohol abuse histories
- Must be comfortable navigating and parking in areas with a high population of homeless individuals, though direct patient care does not involve this population
- Dress code is scrubs of any color
- First-time travelers are accepted for this role
- Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are accepted
- Uber rides may be used for visits as an alternative to mileage reimbursement
Requirements
- Active CA Occupational Therapist license required at time of consideration
- Minimum 1 year of recent home health and OASIS experience
- Current BLS certification required
- Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years in home health or hospice
- Home health or hospice agency references required
