Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with 1-2 years of experience and active OR license for day shifts and on-call coverage.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based nuclear medicine unit
• Day shift 4x10 hour schedule with shift options: 6:30 AM–5:00 PM or 8:15 AM–6:45 PM
• On-call required after department hours, approximately 7 times per month
• Travelers may float to a nearby sister hospital
• Epic charting system is used and experience is required
• Performs nuclear medicine procedures in compliance with established policies
• Strict RTO policy—time off requests must be submitted up front and cannot be changed after submission
• Return staff must be gone at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
• First time travelers are accepted for this position
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rates
• No mile radius requirement applies
• Scrubs or dress code not specified

Requirements

• Active OR license required; license required if applicable
• 1-2 years of Nuclear Medicine experience required
• Bachelors or Associates degree preferred
• NMTCB or ARRT certification in Nuclear Medicine required within 6 months of hire
• BLS (AHA) required within 90 days of hire
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire
• Must pass Basic Cardiac Monitoring class within 4 months of hire
• Experience with nuclear medicine gamma cameras, probes, computer systems, and technical supportive devices
• COVID vaccination required with no exemptions
