Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Transitional Care Unit long-term care position requiring EKG testing, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Transitional Care Unit within a long-term care setting
- Patient ratio of 1:7-8
- Requires floating to other units as needed
- EKG testing must be passed before starting
- Day shift schedule (3x12 hours), 7:00 to 19:30
- Weekend coverage required every other weekend or two times per month
- Holiday or holiday week time off requests will not be accommodated
- Requests for time off during holidays can only be submitted onsite with management approval
- Orientation provided bi-weekly prior to assignment start
- All travelers must be able to fulfill assigned weekend and floating requirements
Requirements
- Active RN license from TN or a compact state
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Must be able to pass EKG testing before the start date
- Relevant experience in med/surg or long-term care nursing
