Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a NY license and Epic EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a high-volume MS/Tele unit of a tertiary care hospital
• Rotating day and night shifts, 3x12 hours from 7:00-19:00 or 19:00-7:00
• Every other weekend is required
• Floating to other units is required
• Care for a variety of patients including CHF, acute MI, post-pacemaker, arrhythmias, general surgery, colon rectal, ostomy, plastic and breast procedures
• Patient ratio typically ranges from 1:5 to 1:7 for MedSurg
• Unit sizes include 26 and 51 beds
• Epic charting experience is required
• First time travelers are accepted
• Scrub colors are any combination of navy and white
• Assignment length is 13 weeks
• Holiday and RTO requests must be included upon application
• Call off policy allows up to 3 shifts per 13-week assignment
• General orientation provided for new staff

Requirements

• Active NY RN license in hand is required
• Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg or Tele experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must live more than 75 miles from the facility
