Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a NY RN license and EPIC experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is on a 26-bed MS/Tele unit within a tertiary care hospital
• Care provided for post PCI, pacemaker, AICD, post MI, and cardiac pharmacology patients
• Typical patient ratio is between 1:5 and 1:7
• Day shifts (3x12s), 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with every other weekend required
• Epic EMR is used on the unit and experience is required
• Locals must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
• Primary responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, emergency response, IV therapy, phlebotomy, and non-invasive airway management
• Must adhere to isolation precautions and infection control standards
• Accepts first time travelers
• Scrubs must be navy, white, or a combination of both
• Candidates are expected to provide holiday coverage as needed

Requirements

• Active NY RN license in hand is required for consideration
• Current BLS certification is required
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Med/Surg Tele experience is required
• Proven ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias as well as use rapid response/code teams
• Experience with Epic charting system is required
